Protecting our Quality of Life in Fort Collins

Protect Neighborhood Character: City Council Must Listen to Residents

Fort Collins is a great place to live. Let’s keep it that way. The citizens of Fort Collins have twice collected signatures to stop unacceptable changes to the land use code by the City Council.

Foothills Mall: Redevelopment Must Serve Taxpayers, Not Just Developers

The City is falling short of its goal to make housing in Fort Collins more affordable and is putting our quality of life at risk with misguided efforts to increase housing density. While we must accept that development will continue, nostalgia alone isn’t a strategy. City Council needs to use its leverage with developers to protect neighborhood character and ensure that growth brings real benefits to the community.

We Need an Experienced Advocate for Citizen Concerns

A city council member’s first responsibility is to ask the right questions—about the purpose, impact, and potential consequences of any proposal—so that constituent concerns are addressed. Steve has real experience doing just that, having served on the Fort Collins Electric Board and the Larimer County Board of Health.

Steve also understands the reality of America’s mental health crisis—his own family has been affected. He supported the county tax initiative to fund SummitStone Health Partners because he knows how vital these services are for those struggling with anxiety, depression, and other serious issues.

Do we want Fort Collins to be known for great natural areas, parks, and thriving communities, or urban sprawl and unbearable traffic.

It’s our choice
