Ray Martinez
Former Fort Collins Mayor
I am proud to endorse Stephen Yurash for Fort Collins City Council District 3. Steve brings a wealth of experience and a commonsense approach to governance that our community needs. Steve has always been a problem solver. His service on the Larimer County Board of Health and the Fort Collins Electric Board demonstrate his commitment to public service and understanding of local issues.
Steve's dedication to fiscal responsibility and pragmatic solutions is evident in his focus on addressing Fort Collins' challenges, such as housing affordability and thoughtful urban development. He understands the complexities of city financing, including TIF, PIF, URA, and Metro District mechanisms, and is committed to protecting our quality of life while ensuring taxpayer dollars are used wisely. As the founder of the Colorado Center Party, Steve champions honest, inclusive governance that prioritizes the moderate majority, free from partisan extremes.
I believe Steve Yurash will be a principled, forward-thinking councilmember who listens to our community and delivers results. Please join me in supporting Steve for Fort Collins City Council District 3 on November 4, 2025.

Retired VP of HR at Hewlett Packard and current HOA coalition leader
I have worked for years on open space tax initiatives and boards to ensure both our City and County purchase and preserve open space. I have worked in a leadership role against Statewide and City land use code changes that will accelerate growth and destroy our well-planned neighborhoods. I have known Steve for years and know that he shares the same values for our environment and habitat, women’s rights and safety, education, preserving City and County Home Rule in land use–and what makes Colorado so special. Steve Yurash as our City Councilor will truly listen–and treat us all with respect.

Former Fort Collins Councilmember
I have known Steve for many years and have always been impressed by his dedication, integrity, and passion for serving the community. He has a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to our community and is willing to listen to the people he represents. He will bring a fresh perspective and effective leadership to our City government. I am confident that he will work tirelessly to represent our community and advocate for policies that will benefit all of us. Steve is my choice for the District 3 council seat.
Peter O’Neill
Retired electronics engineer, vice chair of FCLWD water district, former chair Fort Collins Energy Board, former president of a large HOA.
Steve is passionate about creating practical solutions to difficult problems that a majority of people can support. I'm glad he supports the PRPA's Integrated Resource Plan because reliability and affordability are essential as we transition to renewable energy sources. Steve believes housing is a local matter that should not be driven by state mandates. The residents of a city are better situated than less accessible state officials to make and administer land use decisions. The real goal is to achieve the distribution of housing types and prices needed to house the range of people needed to form and support the community in which they live, not grow for growth's sake. Steve understands that there are limits to the population Colorado and Fort Collins can support and maintain our quality of life.
