I firmly support Fort Collins’ ethos of community-based urban planning and reject top-down state mandates that undermine our city’s values and vision. I stand proudly with Preserve Fort Collins and citizen-led efforts aimed at protecting our neighborhood character—our historic homes, walkable streets, and human-scaled development. It matters that residents have a voice in shaping how their neighborhoods evolve, not distant authorities imposing mandates that don’t reflect local priorities. This approach ensures that growth and innovation harmonize with the unique identity and values of Fort Collins—an identity defined by engaged residents, thoughtful stewardship, and strong neighborhood connections.
